"a few months ago, my car was totaled by a driver who ran a red light. my vehicle was purchased from the state of Michigan as a retired police car and since it couldn't be repaired, I bought another one. in my haste to transport the "new" one to Texas, I only had liability insurance until it was delivered. and since I am a typical male...I never got around to fine tuning the insurance until today. I was so grateful Eileen took my call. as we revamped my coverage, she was able to explain not only what coverage I needed, but the factors behind the cost...such as the demographic of driver of this vehicle and, interestingly, the size of vehicle too. my dodge charger has a history of theft and high speed collisions, thus the reason Michigan utilizes this vehicle as a pursuit car. anyhow, Eileen and I worked to remove certain coverage I no longer needed. in my case...rental car coverage which I no longer need because I own two vehicles, and increase my deductible. Eileen was patient and thourough on the phone with me and was a joy to talk to. (also, I am a sucker for a British dialect). I have been with Kirk Ingels/state farm since I got out of high school. the staff and customer service I always get are the reason I am continue to happily motor in my daily life. "Super helpful and great service! I actually moved from another state awhile back and recently got a new vehicle insured through them. I had attempted to cancel the policy on the previous vehicle after getting this one (which was through a different State Farm agency in another state). Well, a short time after that, my current agent actually noticed that my old policy at the other state farm for the old vehicle that I had already sold was still active and notified me, and even helped me get in contact with the other agency to make sure the old policy was canceled. There's no telling how much money could have been lost if this old policy went unnoticed. Point is: my agent went above and beyond what one could reasonably expect and noticed my old policy was still active, notified me, and saved me a ton of money.
